Tiara Fernando, Registered Provisional Psychologist

Tiara Fernando is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. In addition to her clinical work, she is passionate about teaching and has experience facilitating in post-secondary settings.....

While she draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, she believes that therapy should never be “one-size-fits-all.” Everyone is unique, so she tailors her approach to align with each client’s goals, needs, and strengths. Building meaningful, authentic connections is at the heart of her work, and clients will often find that she brings a warm, bubbly presence to sessions, with a sense of humour that helps create comfort and ease. She believes therapy does not always need to feel overly serious and aims to create a space where clients can cry, laugh, and simply be themselves.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family (her husband, daughter, 2 dogs, and 1 cat), reading, watching movies, spending time in nature, and travelling.
